About this release
Stillness is a dark, restrained instrumental composition by Xeqan. It explores calm as something layered: beneath the quiet surface, there is tension, introspection, and room for thoughts that remain unresolved.
The piece relies on a minimalist approach to expression. Rather than filling every moment, it gives the listener space to notice the atmosphere and the emotional weight of what is held back. Its darkness is part of the mood, inviting attention rather than demanding it.
For a softer, more expansive kind of reflection, continue with Part of Serenity. Silent Farewell brings that restraint into a piano-and-violin setting, while Rising Tempest offers a more forceful contrast in the same catalogue.
